Reading have signed Tiago Ilori from Liverpool after rumours spread yesterday that the defender was on the move.

He has never played in a league game in England, despite having a loan spell at Aston Villa in 2015.

The 23-year-old cost Liverpool £3.5 million from Sporting Lisbon in 2013. The Reds have inserted a 35% sell-on clause in his new contract.

Reading are currently third in Championship, but were knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday by Manchester United.

BBC Sport are reporting the transfer is complete but there is no official confirmation from Reading or Liverpool yet.
