Back Monchengladbach to edge past Celtic this Wednesday.

Celtic will this week welcome the visit of Borussia Monchengladbach to Scotland, with both sides looking for a return to winning ways in the Champions League.

A home win for Celtic is offered at 2/1 with bet365, while an away win for Monchengladbach is favoured at 27/20. A draw between the two teams is 27/10.

Celtic enter the fray this week buoyed by their 3-3 draw with Manchester City last time out in the Champions League, a result that saw the Scots pick up their first win of the group stages. Celtic have since gone on to win two games on the bounce, with a 1-0 win over Dundee and a 2-0 triumph over Motherwell leaving them in good shape ahead of Wednesday’s crucial game with Monchengladbach. Lose, and Celtic will find it hard to qualify, period. Win, and the group remains open as ever with three games left to play. Looking to lead the line for Celtic this week are Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele; the latter scored twice last time out against Man City and is 7/4 to score this week with bet365, while Sinclair is 15/8 to grab a goal.

Monchengladbach on the other hand are in the midst of a poor run of form, with the German side winning just one of their last five games in all competitions. A 2-1 loss to Barcelona last time out did little to improve matters, and leaves the club still searching for their first points of the group stages. Monchengladbach have scored just once in their last three games, however the away side will be lead this week by striker Raffael, who enters the fray looking for his third goal of the season at 6/4 with bet365.

Back Monchengladbach to edge out Celtic this week. A 2-0 away win is offered at 12/1 with bet365.

A safer bet lies with Monchengladbach to win by two goals in 11/2.
