Back United to see off West Ham this Wednesday.
Manchester United will this week welcome the visit of West Ham United for the second time in four days, with the two teams this time meeting in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
A home win for Jose Mourinho’s side is backed at 4/9 with bet365 while an away win for West Ham is 13/2. A draw between the two sides is 4/1, with United 1/5 to qualify and the visitors 7/2 to progress.
United enter the fray this week looking to get the better of West Ham once and for all, having failed to do so in their Premier League fixture last weekend. An equaliser from Zlatan Ibrahimovic secured a draw on that occasion, however another poor overall performance leaves the side under the cosh and Mourinho feeling the pressure. The Portuguese manager would love a win to relieve some of that pressure, however he could choose to field a weakened side on Wednesday as his team continue to fight in three separate competitions. Likely to start for United is striker Marcus Rashford; the English starlet has scored three times this season and is 5/4 to score again on Wednesday, courtesy of bet365. Elsewhere, lead striker Ibrahimovic is the 4/5 favourite to score and Anthony Martial is 11/10.
West Ham were definitely the happier of the two teams last weekend, with the visiting side stealing a point away from the notoriously- daunting surroundings of Old Trafford. They’ll have to overcome the charm of the Theatre of Dreams once again this Wednesday, with Slaven Bilic’s side aiming for a place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup by virtue of a win. With that in mind, Bilic is likely to field a strong side, one that should feature the likes of Andy Carroll, Simone Zaza and Dimitri Payet. Carroll is the favourite Hammer to score at 3/1 with bet365 along with Zaza, while Payet is 9/2 to grace the scoresheet.
Back United to edge a 1-0 win this week at 13/2 with bet365.
A safer bet lies with Rashford to score first at 9/2.
