Betting Tip: Back Both Teams to Score as Watford host West Ham

Betting Odds:

Bet365 make Watford 13/8 with West Ham priced at 19/10

Betting Preview:

Walter Mazarri said he hopes his side have benefited from having a couple of weeks off. The FA Cup break has allowed those already-eliminated sides to regroup, work on the fitness of their players and possible indulge in some warm weather training.

The Italian coach chose to keep his Watford side in chilly southern England in preparation for this match against West Ham

There was a time when Watford looked in danger of slipping towards the relegation zone, but their recent form has seen them edge away and they are likely to survive with plenty to spare.

Vicarage Road has been a largely happy hunting ground for them this season and 60% of their wins have arrived here in Hertfordshire.

Watford only defeats here have been at the hands of Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and strangely - Stoke.

They've lost just one of their last 5 Premier League games with a recent 2-0 loss to EFL Cup finalists Manchester United in a game which they competed well.

Since swapping Odion Ighalo for M'Baye Niang they have looked increasingly threatening going forward and should have more than a 2 goal advantage against Burnley before the Clarets threatened a comeback.

Defending is still a slight issue with just a single clean sheet since the 29th of October - that came against low-scoring/low conceding Middlesbrough.

West Ham have also had the benefit of some time off as Slaven Bilic looks to extend their unbeaten streak to three games.

The Hammers have been much better since the departure of Dimitri Payet to Marseille which suggests he may have divided the camp. Andy Carroll's return has also helped going forward and the target man has impressed in recent weeks.

He missed the 2-2 draw with West Brom however and is struggling ahead of this one.

West Ham have a number of players returning to fitness and Bilic could make some changes for this game.

He wasn't happy with the refereeing performance against West Brom and was sent to the stands, he'll be hoping his side have better luck at Vicarage Road.

They've won three of their last four away games and could pose Watford plenty of problems. If Andre Ayew and Robert Snodgrass both start, the Watford defence is likely to be busy.

Recent Head to Head:

These two were involved in a thriller earlier in the season with Watford winning 4-2 at the London Stadium. West Ham last won here back in 2011 when both sides were competing in the Championship.

Watford v West Ham Team News:

Nordin Amrabat has been working on getting back to full fitness and should make his return here. Juan Zuniga has also recovered from a recent bout of illness. Roberto Pereyra is still absent and is a big loss.

As mentioned above, Andy Carroll is the main absentee for the Hammers who will have to do without the powerful frontman once again. Diafra Sakho and Gokhan Tore are also out whilst there are doubts about Sam Byram and Aaron Cresswell.
