With one game away from winning the 2017 NBA Finals, the success that the Golden State Warriors set to enjoy is more than just the championship trophy
After failing to capture the 2016 NBA Finals against their rivals Cleveland, the Golden State Warriors are once again battling their tormentor in Finals rematch sitting comfortably with a 3-0 lead in the series.
The Steph Curry-led squad returned to the Finals as a whole new different team, winning the first two games with an average margin of 20.5 points and snatching the thrilling third game from the Cavs highlighted by Kevin Durant's clutch three-point basket.
Let's take a look at Dub Nation's upcoming celebrations if they will be strong enough to finish the series next game.
Kevin Durant's first ring
The acquisition of Durant prior to the start of the season, what became a loud topic of discussion, the Warriors turned to a subject of adversity.
The 28-year old one-time Most Valuable Player has established himself as one of the premier league superstars during his stint with Oklahoma. He was having a good run with his team-up with Russell Westbrook but would always come up short to win a title.
His decision to sign with the Warriors with a goal of owning a championship ring is clearly paying off as he is now close to unlocking a career achievement.
Business as usual
Underarmour's popularity has obviously skyrocketed with the emergence of Stephen Curry as a legitimate NBA poster boy. The signature Curry 3 shoe reportedly didn't hit the target revenue mark. Winning the championship will surely allow them to add more hype to their next projects.
Curry's backcourt partner Klay Thompson is currently in a deal with the Chinese apparel brand Anta. In 2015, the same year when the Warriors won their first championship in 40 years, the company announced through its official website that they've had a record-breaking year hitting RMB10 billion revenue mark.
These two emerging brands in the basketball shoe industry will surely take advantage of the 'Championship effect' and target on sneakerheads to make a pivot to their brands as it is a proven source of business success which worked for them in the past.
Breaking record continues
The Warriors hold the best regular season finish with their 73-9 performance last year, which includes a 28-game win streak. By winning game 4, it will further add prestige to their thriving franchise by being the first NBA team to sweep the entire playoffs.
