A big season looms for one of Tottenham's brightest stars
Spurs fans have taken to social media to marvel at the antics of midfield maestro Christian Eriksen, after the Danish international produced a stunning display during Tottenham's victory over Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in Orlando this morning.
Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane, and a wonderful strike from the Dane himself kicked off Spurs' pre-season in style as Mauricio Pochettino's men cruised to a 4-2 victory over 10 man PSG, at the Camping World Stadium.
The frantic fixture in Orlando gave the Argentine boss an insight into how his team may take shape for the coming season, with many youngsters given the opportunity to stake their claim for a first-team squad place for next season.
But despite the young talent on show, it was one of Tottenham's established stars who really stole the show.
Eriksen, who was highly instrumental during Tottenham's second place finish last campaign, showed glimpses that maybe the best is still yet to come.
The 25-year-old was easily the best player on the park against the Ligue 1 side, and his stunning 30-year-old strike ten minutes into the first half to draw Spurs level was a reminder to everyone watching about the incredible talent he possesses.
There is a feeling that this season the midfielder could kick on even more and prove himself as the Premier League's best creator and judging by his display this morning Stateside, there would be few to bet against him having a huge impact this campaign, as Spurs try once more to reach the top of the Premier League summit.
In the aftermath of Christian Eriksen's display, Spurs fans took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the 'Great Dane'.
