The hectic fixture list is taking it's toll on the leaders
Dani Alves is the latest name added to the mounting injury list.
It was a disappointing weekend for Juventus as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Genoa and faced yet more fitness issues.
Alves is the latest man to hobble off and he is set to face a spell on the sidelines. The 33 year old was taken to the hospital for an X-Ray before confirmation of a fractured fibula.
Alves wasn't the only casualty on Sunday with Leonardo Bonucci suffering a thigh issue during a disastrous 90 minutes.
Bonucci has been diagnosed with trauma of the flexor muscle and will be subject to further investigation.
The Bianconeri have been without Paolo Dybala, Marko Pjaca and Gonzalo Higuain whilst Giorgio Chiellini has only just returned from a spell on the treatment table. Andrea Barzagli is sidelined until 2017 at the earliest which leaves the leaders a little short at the back.
Massimiliano Allegri branded his side as lightweight as they picked up just their third league defeat of the season.
The club are on the brink of a busy spell which sees a home match with in-form Atalanta on Saturday night followed by a final Champions League group game with Dynamo Zagreb. The latter is a must-win fixture in order to finish top of the group.
