The last-16 of the Europa League threw up some great ties with Lyon taking on Roma and inter-country clashes like Gent v Genk and Borussia Monchengladbach v Schalke.

Manchester United are in to their first Europa League quarter final since 1985, when they lost to Hungarian side Videoton on penalties,

Jose Mourinho's side avoided an upset to Russian Premier League side FC Rostov, with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford enough to send them through.

Lyon won the battle of the heavyweights as they beat Roma. Despite losing 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico, they came through 5-4 winners on aggregate.
