Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli will serve a three-game European ban for his red card against Gent in the Europa League.
With Tottenham set for another shot at the Champions League next season, they will be at a disadvantage as Dele Alli has been given a three-game ban by UEFA.
It comes after Alli was sent off in the draw with Belgium side Gent in the Europa League at Wembley.
The 20-year-old planted his studs into the shin of Gent player Brecht Dejaegere which could have broken the Belgian’s leg.
Should Tottenham qualify for Europe’s top club competition next season then Alli will miss the first half of the group stage.
Spurs crashed out of their group this season after finishing third and winning just two of their matches.
It was announced yesterday that Tottenham would play their home games at the national stadium next season.
